Shangri-La RV Resort wants shangrilarv.com to be easy to use for every visitor, including people with disabilities. We'd like the website to be as welcoming as the resort itself.
Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We're not fully there yet. This page explains what we've done, what still needs work, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Our most recent review, in October 2026, checked every page of the site with automated tools and then manually reviewed the main pages. Here's where things stand:
We check text colors against the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal-size text. Our October 2026 review found several small gold and grey text styles that fell short, and we've darkened them across the whole site.
The website adapts to phones, tablets and desktop screens, and works with your browser's zoom.
Every image on the site either has alt text describing it or is marked as decorative so screen readers skip it. That includes the photos on all of our blog posts and events, which we reviewed in October 2026. New posts and events get alt text before they go live.
Each field on our contact and reservation-inquiry form has a visible label that screen readers also announce, and the name, email and phone fields support your browser's autofill.
Links say where they go, such as "View rates," "Book on Campspot" or "See every resort amenity," rather than "click here." Links to other websites open in a new tab, and our booking links show a short notice before they take you to our reservation partner.
Every page has one main heading, with section headings beneath it, so screen reader users can scan a page and jump between sections.
We use clear, legible typefaces at comfortable sizes, with icons that match the text they sit next to.
The accessibility icon on every page opens a toolbar, provided by UserWay, that lets you adjust text size, spacing, contrast and other display settings to suit you.
Some parts of the site come from outside providers: Campspot (online reservations), CampgroundViews (our 360° virtual tour), UserWay (the accessibility toolbar) and an AI-powered chat assistant. We can't fully control how accessible these tools are. If one of them gives you trouble, please call us at 877-742-6474. We'll gladly take your reservation or answer your question by phone.
