Shangri-La RV Resort (the "Resort," "we," "us," or "our") values you as our guest and resident and recognizes that privacy is important to you. We are committed to treating your personal information with care and respect. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your data when you interact with our Services.

"Services" includes our website at shangrilarv.com, third-party reservation platforms (such as Campspot), our social media pages, communications with us, and in-person visits to the Resort. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use or access the Services.

We collect information about you in various ways when you interact with our Services. The types of information may vary depending on how you use the Services, and may include:

  • Basic contact details, such as name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  • Demographic information, such as age (we are a 55+ community) and date of birth
  • Payment information, such as credit or debit card number and billing address
  • Reservation and account history, including information about your stays and transactions with us
  • Vehicle and equipment information, such as RV make, model, length, and license plate
  • Any information you include in communications with us, including via our AI chatbot
  • Browser and device data, such as browser type, operating system, device identifier, and IP address
  • Information about your interactions with our Website, such as pages visited and clickstream data
  • Analytics data received from providers such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Personal preferences you share with us, such as activities, interests, and special accommodation needs

We may deidentify or anonymize your information so it cannot reasonably be linked back to you, and we may use such deidentified information for any business purpose. If you provide information about another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.

How We Collect Your Information

Online Services

We collect information when you visit our Website, make or inquire about a reservation, sign up for our newsletter, interact with our AI chatbot, or engage with our Social Media Pages.

Property Visits & Offline Interactions

We collect information when you visit the Resort, use amenities and services, attend Resort events, or complete registration forms in person.

Customer Service

We collect information when you contact us by telephone, email, text, or other electronic communication. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance and training purposes.

Automatic Collection Technologies

  • Cookies — small data files stored on your device that help us remember preferences and track usage. You can control cookie settings in your browser; however, some Website features may not function without them.
  • Pixel tags & web beacons — used to track user actions and measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Analytics tools — we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Log data — our servers record your IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps.

Our Website is not currently designed to respond to "do not track" browser signals, except where required by law.

  • Resort operations & safety — managing operations, monitoring common areas, and maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Business improvement — analyzing usage trends, conducting surveys, and improving our services.
  • Legal compliance — complying with applicable law, responding to legal process, and protecting the rights and safety of the Resort and others.

Data Security & Retention

We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. No data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately using the information in Section 6.

We retain your information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations.

Children's Privacy

Shangri-La RV Resort is a 55+ adults-only community. Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor who has provided us with information, please contact us using the information in Section 6.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of the page indicates when it was last revised. Changes become effective when posted.
